Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation and logistics operations. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth.
Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including assigning drivers and vehicles to routes
- Monitor and track the movement of vehicles using GPS and fleet management systems
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes
- Handle incoming calls from customers, drivers, and other stakeholders
- Enter data into transportation management systems to maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient supply chain operations
- Resolve any issues or delays in transportation services promptly and effectively
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred
- Proficient in using SyteLine, GIS, GPS, and other relevant software systems
- Strong knowledge of fleet management and transportation management principles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in data entry and computer skills
